ScanFlex7: the smart laser scanner system

ScanFlex7 is a 7 axis portable measurement arm system with laser scanner head. It allows you to scan, collect point clouds, or inspect and measure complex surfaces without contact.

The ScanFlex solution use the new BacesSCANv2 laser unit. The additional scanner axis (7th axis) help the user to scannnig complex samples in an easy and fast way.

ScanFlex7 is the perfect solution for reverse-engineering / inspection applications.

Installed on Baces3D system, BacesScan makes possible to scan complex 3D objects with non-contact measurement technology.

BacesScan allows rapid collection of large data volumes from 3D object faster than traditional approaches based on contact probes.

After the software elaboration of the laser scanning, is possible the geometric reconstruction of the sample object (reverse), or the quality control through the comparison with CAD file (inspection).

Point cloud

Points acquisition with BacesSCAN system;

Processing and editing of the mesh - manifold healing, smoothing, hole filling, decimation, refining, ecc..

Triangulation: convert the point cloud into a triangulated mesh;

Automatic or semi-automatic reconstruction of the model by NURBS paths;
